Dena Palamedes, CPA, CMA, CIA, CFE, CCSA, CRMA,is currently the Chief Audit and Evaluation Executive for the Canada Border Services Agency, in Ottawa, Ontario. The Agency is responsible for providing integrated border services that support national security and public safety priorities and facilitate the free flow of persons and goods, including animals and plants.
Dena has worked in numerous Federal Departments for more than thirty-three years. Experiences ranged from; managing the structural transformation of Civil Aviation; leading a team of auditors who reported to Parliament on federal hiring practices; providing leadership in support of the recruitment and development of the federal government Internal Audit community; and providing authoritative internal audit professional guidance to federal departments while at the Treasury Board Secretariat.
Dena holds a Bachelor of Arts with specialization in Economics, from the University of Western Ontario. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant – Certified Management Accountant (CPA, CMA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and is certified in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA) and Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
